Although these owners had their home designed with their personal needs in mind, they were very aware that they needed to design the house in such a way that it would be an asset that would appeal to as many potential buyers as possible. “With this in mind we decided to build a bigger home than we actually needed. We are not over-elaborate in our own tastes but we decided to play the design and layout safe so that when we one day decide to downsize, the house design and finishes will be easily sellable,” says the owner.
“Although the architecture is prescribed by the developers there is a fair amount of scope to put your individual stamp on the home. In fact, we loved the parameters which included stone, wood and earthy colours as well as indigenous gardens,” says the owner.
