“We wanted to build a home that was seamless to its environment,” says the owner. “We created a complete inside-outside atmosphere with all the doors slotting into cavities in the walls, unseen. The heart of our home is the Indonesian teak root, which has been strategically placed to bring real life into the home and as a catalyst for every other element.”

On the architecture, the owner attributes the aesthetic to his love for contemporary designs. “I’m inspired by a lot of local and overseas architects.
