Inspiration for this home is rooted in the family’s travels across the world, ensuring that every design detail holds a familial memory. “There is Turkish, Indian, Spanish and Far East influence in our home due to incorporating elements from our years of travels,” says the owner. He goes on to explain that these elements can be seen in, for example, the arches in the entrance hall that mimic those in the Blue Mosque in Istanbul and the chandeliers above the dining table, which, he explains, portray the tropical summers spent in Malaysia and Thailand. “The Persian rugs and Arabic artworks are a representation of our Islamic and Indian heritage.”
Even though there is a large variety of styles and décor, the owner mentions that each bedroom is designed to suit each occupant’s personality and style preferences. “Our home has an eclectic design as it combines different styles and motifs to create our personal aesthetic,” the owner says.
