The owners fell in love with this stand in a lifestyle estate when they noticed that they could hear the nearby river and waterfall. “We decided this would be a great place for our children to come on holiday. They could play in the river and explore the veld like we used to when we were little. The stand offers endless views of beauty wherever you look.”
Before building their dream holiday home, the owner had to overcome the challenge of an angled landscape. There was a 10-metre drop from the top to the bottom of the stand. “This required some out-of-the-box thinking for the foundation, and the groundworks were particularly important to overcome this.” The striking end result is the symmetrical triangular split of this property’s stepped facade.
