Design Collective is a boutique interior architectural company with years of experience in the high-end hospitality and residential markets globally. There’s art to be found at the core of interior architectural design and Design Collective brings that to life.
What are some of the highlights that you have experienced so far?
I have travelled the globe and worked on some incredible projects, made friends with the most special clients, consultants and designers and learned so many design skills and life lessons from them – many of whom I remain friends with to this day. However, my best experience has been working with my co-founder, architect, best friend, confidant and husband – Matthew.
How do you celebrate other women in the home décor and design industry?
I try to connect with like-minded women who are true to themselves. To uplift one another and share ideas and ultimately create a perfect solution. The best relationships I have developed are where there’s no competition but working together.
How do you celebrate yourself?
By sharing in general, and sharing what I have experienced in my life – negative or positive – about the industry, with clients, relationships, health (physical or mental). Sharing experiences with women makes the world go round and we honour ourselves by knowing that we are important and are needed.
What advice do you have for other women starting out in this industry? Be true to your authentic self!
A woman to me is … passionate, caring, understanding, loving, forms close friendships, and has each other’s back.
