One defining feature of this home is the introduction of curves in the interior spaces, which counterbalances the strong, linear geometry of the architecture. “We incorporated softened and curved detailing throughout the bespoke joinery and carried this language into the furniture and decorative elements,” the interior designer explains. This design concept was used to add an organic appeal to the property and ultimately led to the sophisticated, refined, warm, welcoming and liveable look and feel the home owners sought. “Sculptural pieces, including the rounded dining table base, organic pendant clusters and curved stone and travertine forms, introduce movement and softness into otherwise highly architectural spaces,” the interior designer continues.
She mentions that this repetition of form also creates a subtle visual thread throughout the home, allowing the interiors to feel cohesive while bringing warmth and individuality to the contemporary architecture.
