The abundant use of wood and light fabrics comes together in this remarkable home to create a calm and spa-like feeling. The style brings nature indoors in a modern, timeless manner. “The home blends modern minimalism with natural warmth through the use of earthy tones, rich woods and light, breathable fabrics,” details the interior designer.
According to her, the home owner’s brief called for a sanctuary rooted in nature. To get the look right, it was important to pay attention to materials, colours and finishes. “We worked with a palette of natural, calming tones that offer an earthy appeal. These included soft taupe, warm clays and sandy neutrals. The colour palette ultimately grounds the space and brings in a sense of peace,” the designer explains.
