Tucked into one of the last remaining plots within an exclusive estate in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), this striking home blurs the lines between architecture and nature. “The estate is adjacent to a natural coastal dune forest, which is the last of its kind, and our site borders a natural grassland, which is a preface to the dune forest,” explain the owners. As nature lovers who find peace and joy in the bushveld of the northern parts of KZN, it is no wonder that the site served as a wellspring of inspiration for them.

“We wanted to bring that feeling home – the sense of serenity, the raw beauty of the landscape and the thrill of the wild,” they explain. The result? A home designed with the soul of a seven-star game lodge and the heart of a sanctuary.
