Bold, striking and indeed a visual feast, this home is a sculptural sanctuary in terms of both architecture and interior design. The property was originally designed by the architectural firm that was commissioned again to redefine the design and create a home for the new owners – one that would suit their lifestyle and aesthetic preferences.
The brief was to enlarge the master suite to include a boutique-style dressing room and to reimagine the living spaces to incorporate a striking double-volume entrance and dining area, all within a contemporary and open-plan configuration,” explains the architect. He adds that a significant part of the vision was to transition from a warm, earthy modern style to a bold, ultra-modern black onyx aesthetic – “a transformation that involved revisiting every material and finish throughout the home”.
