KwaZulu-Natal’s top interior decorators and landscapers have once again been summoned to pull out all the stops and create a phenomenal display of eight exquisitely decorated colonial verandah-style units for this year’s Decorators on Display, set to take place from 21 to 24 of May.

The dynamic duo, Megs Tweedie and Kyla de Vlieg, are again at the forefront of the event, having spent two years planning it. This year’s show, the seventh one running, is being hosted at the luxurious Kindlewood Estate in Mount Edgecombe.

The design concept of Kindlewood Estate is based on the beautiful Natal Colonial style with a distinctive modern slant, with the houses boasting spacious wrap-around verandahs and numerous glass frontages to bring Mother Nature indoors.

The restaurant, situated inside a glamorous marquee alongside the lake, and specially decorated by renowned Hertex Fabrics’ Cape-based designer, Corne Schoeman, will be hosted by ECR celebrity chef, Jono Shepherd, with chef Greg Henderson of Myra’s Mediterranean Kitchen providing all the delicious fare. Demonstrations and workshops will be held daily inside the Demo Marquee. Some of the scheduled talks with industry specialists will cover landscaping techniques, decor and craft workshops.

This year’s Decorators on Display promises to be the best one yet and visitors are invited to come and view the beautiful, spacious homes and magnificent embracing gardens.
