From inspired interiors and character-filled homes to flourishing gardens and food worth gathering around, March on The Home Channel is a celebration of the everyday heroes who transform the spaces we live in. This month’s lineup shines a spotlight on creativity, craftsmanship and passion — whether it’s reimagining a home, shaping a garden into a personal sanctuary, or turning simple ingredients into something extraordinary. Expect journeys across local and international landscapes, expert insight, and stories that prove great design and good living start right at home.
Scotland’s Home of the Year
From crofts and cottages to bold church conversions, towers and tenements, interior designer Anna Campbell-Jones, architect Michael Angus, and lifestyle writer Kate Spiers set off on a design road-trip across Scotland in Scotland’s Home of the Year.
Each episode brings the judges to three very different homes in the same region, where they look beyond first impressions to weigh up what really makes a place exceptional: how the space functions day-to-day, how distinctive the design choices are, and the overall style and personality of the home. From a storybook cottage beside the Forth to dramatic, sky-high reinventions in the Highlands and islands, the series celebrates homes that feel lived-in, loved, and unmistakably their owners’.
Across the journey, the judges select nine regional winners to advance, before the finalists gather in the Grand Final at Glasgow’s House for an Art Lover, where one standout property is crowned Scotland’s Home of the Year.

Garden Heroes
Garden Heroes reveals the hard work and imagination ordinary people have put into their gardens. Discover the best amateur gardeners and celebrate the joy of transforming green spaces. Each week three contestants will open their gates to experts who take the tour, examining every leaf and sniffing every flower, to evaluate the gardens.
How the garden is laid out, how the planting has been done, and what features have been added, are all investigated. But you’ll also learn what the garden means to the owner. Maybe it’s a place of adventure for kids, perhaps it’s a special space for relaxation, or maybe it’s a fully functional extension of your home, for entertaining and dining. How the garden fits into and enhances your life is an important factor too. The gardens will be split into different categories in each episode, and the experts will assess the plants, the design, the functionality, and the feel of the garden before ultimately choosing a winner.
