How do you celebrate other women in the home décor and design industry?
Women celebrate each other every single day so I cannot single out anything specific in the industry. As long as we are positively encouraging each other, it makes a wonderful world to be in.
How do you celebrate yourself?
Looking back at my youth, I can recognise all the hurdles I’ve overcome and celebrate all I have achieved in a predominantly male-dominated industry. And, of course, with one of South Africa’s best bottles of MCC.
What advice do you have for other women starting out in this industry?
Take every opportunity presented to you and just say yes – the rest you can learn, as my guru Richard Branson likes to say! Don’t be scared, women are resilient and you will succeed if you put in the hard work and determination.
A woman to me is … someone who brings a unique perspective to any business along with empathy and compassion.
