Purchasing an existing property in need of a facelift is exciting, but it’s a project that needs careful consideration. The home owners say one should approach it with an open mind and a clear vision.
“The residence needed some updating, but the layout was what set it above other properties we viewed,” explains the owner. “It also had the all-important north-facing and south entrance, which is imperative with the south-easterly winds, and the sought-after golf course views.”
The property is a holiday home for this family of five and provides them with a private retreat when they visit South Africa. The home’s layout is seamless and an open-plan living area blends beautifully with the kitchen and wine cellar.
