Perched atop the Alverstone escarpment, this home was part of a large-scale renovation, upgrade and additions undertaken at a sizeable equestrian property that now includes multiple additional buildings for the extended family. With panoramic views stretching across Durban and the Indian Ocean, the brief was clear: to create a relaxed yet refined residence that celebrates its setting while providing privacy and comfort for the residing family.
“As this is the client’s primary residence, accommodating a young family and pets, the home needed to be relaxed enough to flow seamlessly for everyday living and easily transformable into a sophisticated entertainment space,” explains the designer.
