The design of this home was tailor-made to suit the tastes and needs of the home owner’s growing family. “We were looking for design and luxury without forsaking the practical elements that are crucial for comfortable, everyday living,” says the home owner. “My favourite design features in the home are the large double-glazed windows.”
The north-facing windows ensure natural light in most of the spaces for the majority of the day. In winter, the glazing acts as a natural heat trap, while in summer the windows can be opened to keep the air moving and the interior cool.
There were a couple of features that the home owner felt were necessary, including en suite bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes for each of the family’s three teenage sons.
