For the second year in a row, the Sandton Convention Centre served as the destination of choice for Joburg décor and design lovers to tap into new sources of inspiration. And while it was impossible not to love everything on offer at Design Joburg this year, these four stands kept us coming around for more.

The Urbanative
Mpho Vackier could not have chosen a more perfect setting or time (with 25 May being Africa Day) to introduce The Urbanative’s 2018 African Crowns Collection. Inspired by the sculptural lines, forms and textures of traditional African hairstyles, this year’s collection features intricately braided and woven details incorporated into the fun, functional furniture pieces the brand is becoming synonymous with.

FABRI
The innovative, design-driven kitchen and built-in furniture brand partnered with Gaggenau to showcase an integrative kitchen space incorporating built-in shelving, cupboards and furniture. FABRI has also just been awarded bronze at this year’s European Product Design Awards for their ID (integrative design) Collection. Designed by FABRI’s Inês Sabino, the collection addresses the growing need for stylish, multi-functional furniture in modern homes.
