As a woman, what do you bring that is unique to the industry?
I bring a layered sensitivity to how people live – the nuances of flow, light, texture and function. I’m constantly thinking about how a space makes you feel before I even
think about how it looks. I also bring strength in collaboration. I truly believe design is a team effort and I value nurturing relationships with clients, suppliers and makers. That energy – equal parts soft and strategic – is something uniquely feminine and powerful.
How do you celebrate yourself?
Celebration, for me, looks like spaciousness. Time to reflect, realign and reconnect with why I do this work. I celebrate myself by carving out time to be in beautiful spaces, whether that’s nature, art galleries or quiet weekends at home. I also honour myself by setting boundaries that allow me to create with clarity and integrity.
A woman to me is … a force of nature – intuitive, resilient, nurturing and wildly creative. She holds both strength and softness, and she designs her life and the world around her with intention.
