The Goodspace’s concept-to- creation design process is tailored to individual needs. The company dedicates time over a few weeks to creatively conceptualise, research and professionally present ideas for your space.
What do you love about being a woman in your specific industry?
I love that we are challenged every day, creatively and in a business sense. The business world has for a long time “belonged” predominantly to men and we are privileged to have the opportunity to be creative and in business at the same time.
What are some of the highlights you have experienced so far?
All my memorable highlights are my clients’ faces when they see the completed product at the end of a very long journey, but if I must choose something tangible, it would be that three of my property features in SA Home Owner magazine have made the front cover.
How do you celebrate other women in the home décor and design industry?
By celebrating their accomplishments with them. Many of the suppliers I use are woman-owned businesses and we queens stick together and fix each other crowns when needed.
What advice do you have for other women starting out in this industry?
Never doubt yourself, and if you do, only do so for about five minutes then move on with whatever you are attempting to achieve.
A woman to me is … resilient, brave, emotional, strong-willed and dynamic. They are masters at multitasking and phenomenal at creating balance.
