With both these residents loving the bush and the creatures that live in it, this home was designed to bring a sense of game lodge living in a modern, charming and easy-to-live- in manner.
Created as the owners’ retirement home, the property has an architectural style that is simple, largely open-plan and with fewer rooms than the family home, which they left behind in the city.
“We chose this site for the 180° view of the distant city bowl, our Table Mountain here in Pietermaritzburg, as well as the bird’s-eye view of the abundant game in the foreground,” says the owner.
