Johannesburg home lovers are flocking to the new Yea-h Furniture store in Parkhurst, a brand known for its affordable, edgy, portable furniture designs.
Yea-h decided to take the leap into the retail market following strong interest in their unique and practical furniture range at the Grand Design Show, held at the Dome, Johannesburg in May 2012.
Yea-h Furniture Marketing Director and Designer Gregory Widmer says: “Initially our range was aimed at home lovers looking for young living inspiration, town house residents and students wanting small, moveable furniture and accessories like tables, chairs, bar and kitchen stools, trolleys, coat stands and shelving units.”
“Since opening the store we have expanded the range to include dining and other furniture to meet market demand. At Yea-h we call this proper furniture.”
Widmer explained that many people are looking for designer furniture without the exorbitant price tag. Yea-h bridges the gap by designing, manufacturing and selling trendy and practical off-the-shelf items manufactured in steel and wood with creative use of colour, at an affordable price.
Yea-h furniture is functional, modern and light, for people on the move. The simple, clean cut design pieces are easy to incorporate into the client’s next office or living space.
Yea-h furniture is designed by a young design team that is excited about designing innovative products to transform living spaces. The furniture is manufactured by Collage, which was started by Widmer’s parents 25 years ago. Collage has designed interiors for corporate giants such as Nokia, Vodacom and Incredible Connection, as well as for private homes, restaurants, hotels and banks.
The new Yea-h Furniture store is located on 4th Avenue in Parkhurst, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, decor, design, antique and service shops, providing an enjoyable experience. Trading hours are Monday to Friday, 10h00 – 16h30 (the store is closed on Tuesdays) and Saturdays 10h00 – 15h00.
