Eclectic Modern

A medley of delights

The exterior design of this home is completely different to the way in which the interior is decorated. Usually the exterior of a home gives guests an inkling of what the interior style may be based upon.

The home owners wanted a touch of Africa within their home, particularly evident in the African artefacts scattered throughout.

The residents of this aesthetically-pleasing abode decorated the home themselves with help for the exterior from Andre Kleinhans. The home owners ingeniously used a French Grey on the doors, trusses and kitchens bringing the outside veld in. This calming colour blends well with the sandstone features, while simultaneously softening the stainless steel light fittings and appliances.

The residents, particularly interested in home automation, incorporated this into their home – evident in lighting, alarms, air conditioners, geysers, and irrigation systems providing a stress-free living environment.

Balau decks extend the living areas into the outdoor entertainment area while large chains into bulky pots add unique character to the outdoor area. The rim flow pool adds a touch of luxury and opulence to the otherwise farm-style exterior.
