This property offers its residents so much in the way of what to love as well as standout features. For the home owner, however, her kitchen leaves its mark as her favourite space. “The sage kitchen is my favourite space – it is great to be bold with colour, and the special handmade butcher block and wooden beam above the gas stove lend a real old-school charm to the space,” she explains. The rest of the colour palette shows more neutral hues, in keeping with the Nordic feel required. It opens up the spaces within the home and results in airy rooms that offer comfort and peace of mind.
The other standout elements include the polished concrete flooring and the exposed beams. Of these features, the owner says: “Our polished concrete flooring is absolutely fabulous. We went with HTC SUPAFLOOR, which lends itself to gorgeous colouring, almost like looking at fossils and history, dependent on how the sun shines. Then the exposed beams in the lounge and bedroom are also a wonderful feature and give a ‘larger than life’ feeling with the double volume.”
