Home is no longer defined by a single style, trend or ideal—it’s a reflection of the lives unfolding within it. From spaces shaped by personality and creativity to homes built around family, comfort and connection, today’s living environments are evolving to meet the way we truly want to live. This month, The Home Channel explores the emotional and practical role our homes play in everyday life: places of reinvention, self-expression, gathering and growth. Whether it’s discovering fresh ideas, admiring remarkable transformations or finding inspiration in the stories behind the spaces, each show offers a thoughtful and uplifting look at modern living in all its forms.
Ireland’s Home of the Year
Over eight weeks, 21 homes bursting with style, personality, and character compete for the coveted title of Ireland’s Home of the Year. Each week, three properties open their doors to a panel of expert judges, who explore every detail before scoring them out of ten—armed with only the most basic facts about the homes and their owners.
Only one standout home from each episode will earn a place in the grand finale, where the ultimate winner will be crowned. Searching for functionality, individuality, and clever design are design legend Hugh Wallace, award-winning architect Amanda Bone, and new judge, acclaimed interior designer Sara Cosgrove. From bold transformations to beautifully lived-in spaces, this inspiring series celebrates the creativity and passion behind Ireland’s most remarkable homes.

Sarah Benny’s New Life in the Country
On Sarah Benny’s New Life in the Country, Britain’s favourite property expert, Sarah Beeny, her husband Graham Swift and their four boys Billy, Charlie, Raffey and Laurie all quit their lives in London to start anew in the country. They bought a semi-derelict former dairy farm in Somerset where, with 220 acres of land available, they’re going to immerse themselves in everything rural life has to offer. In each episode we follow the build of one new room or area as we witness the transformation into a room or space that the family can be proud of.
The series kicks off with the transformation of a bare concrete shell into a traditional country house library. We then see them create a quirky guest bedroom, a cozy family room and use a Victorian Museum of Curiosities as the theme for their outlandish cloakroom. Outside they install a clocktower, renovate an old stone bridge and in the series finale build an impressive greenhouse.
