According to the owner, this home is the result of years of imagining, careful planning and a willingness to trust their instincts even when it meant changing course mid-build. “Every detail – from the choice of materials to the placement of a doorway – was considered through the lens of how we actually live, as a family that values togetherness, craves calm and finds beauty in the natural world,” explains the home owner.
When they set out creating this home, the goal was to design something that felt like a true expression of who they are, a space where creativity and lifestyle blend harmoniously. “We were drawn to warm minimalism. Clean lines balanced with raw texture and smooth surfaces set against rough ones.” With a love for entertaining, they needed a home that could shift effortlessly from peaceful retreat to lively gathering space. And with young children, a layout that encouraged play and kept everyone connected, even when the adults were occupied in the kitchen, was a must.
