The architects and designers were given a complex brief for the alteration of this holiday home. On the one hand, when the family are ready for a getaway, it has to provide a soothing space to relax and unwind. On the other, because it is also to serve as a retreat for corporate executives, it needs to have a fairly neutral ambience.
The solution? A home with a distinctly bold ambience verging on the masculine, and which still sets the stage for rejuvenation.
This was achieved by paying careful attention to both the materials and palette used. For instance, leather and wood introduced a decidedly sophisticated note, which was echoed in shades of chocolate, cream, greys and charcoals.
