The extreme dedication that these residents had when it came to the creation of their home is clearly evident in the end result. Having project managed the house from the architecture to the furnishings, the owners ensured that everything went according to plan, and their attention to even the finest detail can be seen in all areas of this expertly created home.
The ingenuity in the design of the home lies in how the exterior has influenced the interior, and having ensured that all the windows around the garden are north-facing, these areas in the home receive plenty of natural light.
When it came to the decorative treatment of the home, the owner says that since she and her husband travel a lot, the inspiration for this home came from the luxury hotels and lodges that they visited. “We chose the Tuscan look, incorporating the ideas that we had while also trying to display a warm and welcoming home,” she says.
With all of its fittings, fixtures and furnishings, this charming home gives these residents a sense of total and complete fulfilment. However, when it comes to their favourite room in the home, they both concur that it is definitely the main bedroom. With its four-poster bed, clear view of the garden and opulent, classical style, this room gives the owners an opportunity to relax and listen to the sweet melodies of the birds that frequent the garden.
“With a lounge and the fireplace in the bedroom, this room becomes our little escape on weekends during winter,” conclude the owners.
