There was an intense focus on practicality, functionality and attention to detail from the start of this project through to its completion. “The home was ‘built on purpose’,” explains the owner, where open-plan spaces centre around the outdoor living area and an understated design language filters throughout.
The inspiration came from a desire to create a modern farmhouse/country-style residence. The owner explains: “Having grown up on a farm with a beautiful garden, we were eager to try and create a farm-style home with a garden offering space for planting veggies and loads of open lawn for our children to enjoy while growing up here. We wanted a home that felt warm and grounded, yet still highly practical – one with a character that feels timeless rather than trends-led.”
