After 30 years in a cottage-style home, these home owners decided it was time for a change to less clutter, cleaner lines and greater simplicity.
The light, bright and airy appearance of this brand-new home is a world away from the owner’s previous home. In truth, she admits, she had wanted to make a change for some time – but because she is meticulous and precise, she worried that it would be impossible to capture the exact look she wanted.
That fear was unfounded, as it turned out; probably because the family selected an architect who is one of their best friends and has an implicit understanding of their taste. As such, they felt entirely comfortable handing over responsibility for the design process.
