Comfort plus more

The Qashquai+2 is an absolute comfort drive. Everything about this car revolves around driver and passenger comfort – even the smooth exterior lines imply interior and driving comfort.

I found this car incredibly easy to drive. A manual, the gears shifted easily and without interruption, navigating speed bumps and road pocks so smoothly it was hardly noticeable.

One of the most prominent benefits of the +2 is the cabin and cargo space. You could almost take your kids’ entire hockey team – and their gear – to the inter-school champs, then bring them and all their trophies back! The secret to the +2 is an additional 211mm on the standard Qashquai, extending the middle row an extra 23mm; an additional 38mm in height; and the option to fold the 2nd and 3rd rows of seating to build the boot into a massive 1 520 litres of space!

While driving to that hockey match, you can pack a bevy of beverages in the 14-litre glove box, which can be cooled by the air conditioning; and play motivating music from your MP3, iPod or other USB music device.

The Qashquai+2 is indeed the safety-conscious, comfort-conscious family’s dream car – having been awarded the maximum 5-star EURO NCAP rating for adult occupant protection.

With thanks to Nissan South Africa and AOG Media for the test drive.
