With their children grown, the home owners realised that their family property was too big for them and decided to downsize. However, they didn’t want the downsizing process to limit the versatility of their new home. “It’s only my husband and I, but we wanted a home that would be comfortable for just the two of us, plus still have enough space to accommodate and entertain our children, grandchildren and guests,” says the owner.
The decision to build on a new estate was prompted by a visit to the estate during their search for a new home. After purchasing the stand, they were able to start building within three months. The build process, from breaking ground to moving in, took 16 months.
