New fabric collection from Skinny laMinx

Written by Janine Jorgensen

When Skinny laMinx designer Heather Moore embarked on an experiential trip to Jaipur to teach a course in block printing last year, she thought she’d return with vibrant impressions of India that would inspire bold designs. Instead, she was taken with the serenity that lies beneath the crowds and the chaos in the country.

“Delicate fabrics, the finest lines, the softest tones: my experience of India has been all about exquisite skill, craftsmanship and attention to the finest detail,” she wrote in her journal on her last day of her trip.

It was these perceptions that influenced Skinny laMinx’s new fabric collection, Diggi Dot (named after her hotel in Jaipur).

The range features simple motifs – lines, semi-circles and dots – which have been combined with soft colours of lemon, mint, liquorice, fog grey, steel blue and signal red.

Charming and fresh, the fabrics are unmistakably Skinny laMinx, working well with the studio’s other ranges.
