What started with the desire to create a modern industrial home with a touch of contemporary farmhouse style has resulted in a property that is bold and distinctive in every sense. The inspiration, according to the owner, was to create a family home that is unique in its features – one that would be considered avant-garde. “We wanted to create a modern eclectic interior with strong industrial elements. We took the very modern shell and left areas raw, like the ceilings, and pulled all the areas together with bespoke wall finishes and various artisan cupboards and furniture,” the owner details.
To get that wow factor throughout, the owners worked closely with a specialist company that handled all the artistic features for the walls and ceilings. “The wall and ceiling features were individually designed and added to create the final look,” says the owner. These elements add a sense of drama, boldness and playfulness, making this property stand out when it comes to personalisation. “We have managed to create something that is a trendsetter as opposed to following the latest trends. We put our personal stamp on the home,” the owner explains.
