While the owner had never considered living this close to a dam before, it’s become an essential element of their home. “When viewing the property, we loved the fact that we would be right on the water, have incredible views and, most importantly, not feel cramped living in an estate,” he explains. “We love the safety and lock-up-and-go lifestyle of the estate, but the biggest draw was ultimately being able to live right on the water.”
As such, each aspect of this home has been meticulously considered, keeping the sweeping views each room affords a priority. “We feel our home’s most unique features are a combination of its multiple levels and the staircase. The multiple levels enable the view to be appreciated from anywhere in the house. The staircase was possibly our biggest headache and success. We completely destroyed the previous one and designed this one ourselves. It became our baby, and we went back and forth, but finally got it to be exactly how we envisioned it to be.”
