Imported Italian floor tiles were used throughout the home’s main areas. These were purchased even before the project started, and influenced design decisions. “It was a first in my career – having the finish lead the design,” says the architect. “But it ultimately provided the perfect foundation for the home’s aesthetic.”
This modern Gauteng home focuses on open-plan living, curated outdoor spaces, and a swimming pool. “I specifically asked the architect to include a gazebo,” says the owner. “And, I absolutely love the space.” It’s one of her favourites in the home, along with a meditation room just next to the pool.
