Spanning two storeys, with a long and private driveway, the house has charm and character, and its grand entrance comes complete with a large water feature.
The decor was compiled by renowned interior decorator, Jennifer Jones. A warm colour palette of pewter, rust and gold within the lounge and dining area was centred around an embroidered Medici silk used for the dummy curtains and blinds. There is a sense of continuity throughout the interior, with finely crafted, elegant furniture and unique finishes.
The master bedroom is a feast for the eyes with pewter, silver and neutrals playing the key role, and accents of grape bringing some subtle colour into the mix. The overall theme is soft and romantic, and a magnificent silk Persian carpet adds the ideal finishing touch. The room is host to a spacious walk-in-closet and dressing area, and a large en-suite bathroom with a jetted spa bath.
The girls’ bedrooms display specialised paint techniques and murals, which create a playful contrast to the otherwise formal nature of the house. In the guest bedroom, beautiful grape and mink damask on the curtains set a lavish and welcoming tone.
In each room of the home, custom-designed lamps and shades complement the overall decor, and an array of finely crafted accessories and furnishings, with specific attention to detail, makes this project a work of art.
