When the owners of this home began the renovation they discovered that the existing slab couldn’t support the weight of the planned second storey. So they had to demolish the whole property and rebuild on the existing foundation.

“We took the best elements of our previous homes and updated those to get a more modern look,” says the owner. “Although we went for an industrial look, we tried to incorporate natural elements (wooden floors and ceilings) to ensure that the concrete/stone/steel didn’t dominate to the point that it made the house feel cold and unwelcoming.”

Cross a sports car with an SUV, and this is what you get: the Lamborghini Urus Performante, which is just as much at home on a gravel track as on a racetrack or a suburban street. Four different driving modes and four-wheel steering are just two of the secrets behind the versatility of what the Italian marque calls a “Super SUV”. The Urus Performante boasts an impressive 666hp and reaches 100km/h in a mere 3.3 seconds. Extensive use of lightweight carbon fibre and a twin-turbo V8 combine to deliver a top speed of 306km/h.
