What do you love about being a woman in your specific industry?
I enjoy working in an industry where I’m surrounded by many talented and hardworking women. It is rewarding to collaborate with them every day in a creative environment where women support each other and contribute to strong ideas and results. My aunt, Carrol Boyes, was passionate about nurturing people and helping them grow in the industry and thanks to her, I now get to work alongside many of those individuals she helped shape.
What are some of the highlights that you have experienced?
Some of the highlights for me have been working alongside women who built their careers with Carrol over the years. It’s inspiring to learn from their experience and continue the legacy she helped create. I also value working with people who joined the business around the same time I did. We’re growing together, building something meaningful as a team and shaping the next chapter of the brand together.
How do you celebrate other women in the home décor and design industry?
I make an effort to acknowledge and appreciate the work of other women around me. Even small words of encouragement or recognition can go a long way.
A woman to me is … strong, nurturing and resilient. I think first of my mum, who showed up for me every single day with love and support. She shaped so much of who I am. I also think of my aunt Carrol, who nurtured and empowered so many women in business. Their examples have taught me that being a woman means lifting others while staying grounded in who you are.
