This beautiful home is located in the heart of the Constantia Valley with spectacular views of the Vlakkenberg Mountain and vineyards.

The architectural design of this house by James Green of MWLF Architects, exudes wholesome, earthy exterior aesthetics, both in tone and texture.

The owners’ brief specified a new, elegant home but one with a farm-style ambience that is also child-friendly.

The successful incorporation of outdoor patios and entertainment areas, to flow gracefully into the interior, makes this essential architectural design element appear to be a natural progression.

The elegant tone of this house is set from entering through the tall glass front door, and continues into the hall leading to the contemporary-style living quarters.

Daily comforts that were installed for easy living include a large double-sided fireplace in a central position generating maximum heat, as well as a modern kitchen where the breakfast area overlooks the outdoors.

Other practical considerations in the construction of this house include gas fireplaces and kitchen hob, a backup generator, a borehole with water storage tanks, and a storm water management system with a soakaway pit for sustainable drainage.

When relaxing outdoors on the deep undercover verandah overlooking the pool, it is easy to admire this home’s inter-connectedness with its views.
