Set alongside a golf course, this coastal home is surrounded by rolling hills and greenery. Understandably, this new build was designed to make the most of the breathtaking views. So, all the main living spaces open up to the outdoor entertainment area, and there is a free flow between inside and outside. “It was very important to achieve ‘openness’ to the views and beautiful, lush setting of the green golf course and trees.” The entertainment area is also adaptable and can be closed off or opened, depending on the weather or the need for privacy.
Security is always top of mind, so the home owner opted for plantation shutters to add character, but still provide some safety. “Plantation shutters fit the brief completely and have accentuated the style and aesthetic of the home.” With their modern feel and array of colours, these shutters become a feature of the home, providing an appealing alternative to curtains and blinds. The shutters are also used to separate the under-roof entertainment space from the open areas, and even the living areas.
