Victor Vezi is the owner of product design studio Pixelsoda. Born in KwaZulu-Natal, he spent most of his childhood in Johannesburg. His curiosity about how things worked led him to pursue a career in electrical engineering. Later on he discovered his deep-seated passion for design, which led him to study product design and brand communications.

As a creative I constantly strive to push the boundaries and challenge traditional design norms. I believe in the power of design to evoke emotions and create meaningful connections between people and their environment.

My design aesthetic is focused on celebrating the beauty of different materials and creating unique and timeless products that stand out in any space. I believe in the importance of function and form working in harmony to create truly exceptional pieces.

I grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, with a strong curiosity about how things worked and a passion for exploring new ideas and concepts.

Pixelsoda is a product design studio that specialises in furniture and home décor design. We are committed to producing unique and statement-making products that are built to last and bring moments of delight into people’s lives.

Good quality furniture design should strike a balance between function and aesthetics, creating products that users can connect with emotionally. At Pixelsoda, we believe in stripping down designs to their bare essentials and using contrasting materials to create bold and innovative pieces.

My design process involves a lot of research and experimentation, starting with a concept or idea and working through various iterations to refine the final product. I am always focused on user experience and creating products that are both practical and beautiful.

I draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources, including my surroundings, travel experiences, family and faith. Sometimes even the most unlikely objects and places can provide inspiration for a new design, such as a car tailgate light inspiring the profile shape of a bread bin I am currently working on.

I’m busy expanding Pixelsoda’s product offering beyond mirrors to other homeware products, while still maintaining our focus on unique and timeless design.
