Creating a home within an estate, which is unique and distinct while keeping with the stipulated guidelines of the estate, requires well thought out and meticulous planning. The vision of these owners combined with the skill and expertise of Dimension Property Development turned this vision into reality. “When embarking on this project, our vision was to create a home that brought the outdoors indoors,” explain the owners, “maximising the light with many windows and stacking doors throughout the house”.
The positioning of the home along with the usage of glass surrounding it, allow the owners to enjoy the views of the park and lake, while simultaneously maximising light input throughout. “The site allows for ultimate privacy, being in a pan-handle as well as enjoying uninterrupted views from both the northern and eastern sides of the home,” say the residents.
Drawing inspiration from far-eastern influences, evident in both the design and the decor, the home boasts clean and elegant lines, with open-plan spaciousness and a focus on minimalism.
Complementing the architectural design, the decor is a tasteful combination of contemporary furnishings with touches of eastern influence – which the owners have collected over the year – providing each interior space with an individual signature look and infusing personality in each living environment.
The bathrooms and bedrooms continue this theme, each spacious in design, boasting neutral hues highlighted with an accent colour. The kitchen is open-plan in design incorporating the lounge and dining room, providing a seamless flow throughout. The indoors is further extended outdoors by the ingenious use of stack-doors and a plethora of floor-to-ceiling windows, which create an immaculate merge of outdoors and indoors.
The elegant outdoor furnishings, inclusive of the artwork and sculptures, are a further extension of the indoors, both contemporary with eastern influences. The decking surrounding the pool and entertainment area further enhances this ambience. What makes this home so exceptional is the underlying thread which ties the outdoors and indoors together through the ingenious use of architecture and interior design.
