Clean, simple lines form the basis of the interior and create a feeling of spaciousness.
Having inherited the house from their parents, the owners – four sisters and a brother – decided to give the structure a complete overhaul. Using the existing foundation, a double story was created. It was a given that the 360 degree surrounding views were to be incorporated.
In perfect harmony with the nearby sea, a natural palette of blues and whites was used throughout, and dark wooden furnishings provide a wonderful contrast to these light colours. White linen and wooden shutters are prevalent in each bedroom and fun artworks and decorations add a personal touch.
Serving the purpose of being a family holiday home, aspects such as entertainment were taken into account. The open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge open up onto the large patio and pool area where lounging in the African summer sun is all part of a day’s work. A walkway provides the family with easy access to the tranquil and beautiful beach.
This truly enchanting house is the perfect home away from home for this large family. Relaxation is inevitable upon entry and the true meaning of holiday is immediately evident.
