Stand-out bathrooms from 2023

Written by Shereen Lurie

A bathroom goes beyond personal hygiene; it can become a sanctuary for the senses. Here’s a collection of bathrooms that impressed the SA Home Owner team with their distinctive design elements and superior craftsmanship.

1. Blissful Bushveld Escape

Trinity Décor Solutions specialises in finishing products for residential and commercial projects. The company supplied a custom-stained, quality-engineered wooden floor for this home. The bathroom wall has a polished concrete look that requires no maintenance. Trinity Décor Solutions used a subway wall tile to create a feature wall and classic larger format wall tiles in a matt finish for the rest of the room. The bathroom’s shower floors are finished with specialised cuttings from the original floor tile. These combinations were conveniently presented and made in the owner’s home.

2. Creative Cubism

Designed by German architecture and design office Sieger Design, the Duravit Happy D.2-bathroom range is chic, versatile and timelessly modern. With its fine radii of rounded corners that feature throughout, this range is unapologetically feminine and elegant. The developer, Legaro, wanted premium fittings and fixtures, and this bathroom offers a luxurious look that makes this a standout home.

3. The Essence of Elegance

These home owners contacted nuuma for its expertise and guaranteed customer-satisfaction experience. Apart from the kitchen design, the company also created the wardrobes, which needed to bring a refined luxury through combining lighting, materials
and modern design elements. Materials used included smoked glass and wood finishes combined with stone to offer a sense of timeless luxury and functionality.

DADOCreations specialises in designing and manufacturing luxury bathtubs, basins and shower floors made from DADOquartz. A DADOquartz Dubai 1600 bathtub and matching DADOquartz Dubai basins were installed in the home.
