Charcoal-toned cabinetry grounds the island, while a slender grey worktop gives it a precise outline. A raised, luxurious textured marble counter introduces another level and a more expressive surface. Against the darker finishes, its movement becomes the accent. The architectural interest lies in these relationships: thin against substantial, uniform against patterned, horizontal against vertical. Each element gains definition from the next.
