Servicing clients nationwide and across the border, Denic Cabinets has a manufacturing factory in Wynberg (Sandton) and showroom in Pretoria East. The company designs, manufactures and installs customised luxury kitchens and built-in cupboards.
What do you love about your profession?
I love that I can bring joy into people’s homes, specifically kitchens. Seeing a project through from bare walls, the construction phase and finally, to a beautiful and inviting space, where memories will be made.
What legacy would you like to leave in the industry?
I would like to bring back dignity to technical skills and artisans.
How do you celebrate other women in the home industry?
By partaking in events that speak to women’s empowerment, especially in the kitchen manufacturing industry.
Who or what has been your inspiration throughout your life?
I am inspired by the women who fought for our rights. The women who were marginalised and never had the opportunity to follow their dreams and passions in life.
What is your life affirmation that you live by daily?
Start where you are, with what you have, as there will never be a perfect time to start.
What is the one book that you recommend every woman needs to read?
Lift as you rise by Bonang Mohale.
A woman to me is … a combination of grace and grit.
