Living in the UK for 25 years and having realised during the COVID-19 lockdown how much they missed South Africa, this family decided to invest in a gem of an estate along the Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Already a part owner of a property along this scenic stretch of coastal land, the owner is well acquainted with this area so when the opportunity came to create their new home in a new development, the owner did not hesitate. He says the design of the property is what caught his eye – with its high-pitched ceilings and plenty of natural light, choosing this as their dream home was an easy decision.
“Coming from London, we did not want a large home, but we wanted big open space,” explains the owner. For this reason, the sliding shutters, beautiful decking and lush landscaping were must-haves. Although the home is relatively small and compact, these residents can enjoy the estate’s open spaces surrounding the property because of the way it was designed. “We love the open-plan layout while still enjoying the intimacy and privacy throughout,” he says.
