This complete rebuild of a former property has given it a new lease on life with distinctive design elements and bespoke features. “The design is ultra-modern and contemporary,” says the owner, with exposed black clay bricks, concrete and glass. Middle-Eastern-inspired corten metal grille screens on some of the balconies give it a unique look and feel.
Set adjacent to a nature reserve, the view of the greenbelt is one of this home’s prominent features. In fact, it feels like a “natural extension of the garden”, explains the owner. “We were at pains to preserve some of the original established plants and many of them were stock from our original garden that could be repurposed.” Custom-designed planters border the balconies, contrasting pleasingly with the construction textures. The views to the greenbelt and clever use of space create a free-flowing yet compact living space. “It has a luxury apartment-like feel yet it is a freestanding property surrounded by green spaces.”
