Garden House Apartments

Written by Jess Binns

As with all major cities scattered across the world, the balance between built up urban living and the flora and fauna of green space can be a tricky one to achieve. That’s why the soon to be opened ‘Garden House Apartments’, in Sydney’s up and coming district, Waterloo, is such a new and exciting discovery!

Headed up by interior design firm, Hecker Guthrie and forward thinking Australian based contractors, Icon Co, the Garden House Apartments strive to bring the outdoors, in. Just imagine arriving home from a hard day in the office, only to be greeted by lush green walkways, water features and soft planting flanking your main entrance? Sounds divine, doesn’t it?

The whole ethos behind this project was to create a modern take of village life deep within city living. There is no denying that parks and other open green spaces provide a social base for city dwellers, making this venture even more appealing. Inside each apartment the look and feel is light, natural and open plan with an under-stated air of luxury.

The Architects ensured cross ventilation, which also provides double aspect light, another big plus point for Garden House Apartments.

In today’s world a forward-thinking development such as this is sure to take off.
