With a foot in the construction arm of the design industry, Beautiful Spaces with Beulah focuses on renovations and new builds, and offers client-centric project management, overseeing projects from concept to handover.
What do you love about your profession?
The one thing that stands out is that I get to not only transform spaces, but lives as well. We help actualise people’s dreams by taking an idea and building it brick by brick until it is realised. It is a process that brings joy to my clients and fulfilment to me as a designer.
How do you celebrate other women in the home industry?
I firmly believe there’s no better celebration of another woman than a referral, and when I have the opportunity, I always refer women-owned businesses, from service providers to manufacturers. Championing means not only celebrating together, but also elevating one another.
Who or what has been your inspiration throughout your life?
My grandmother, who taught us prayer and that you can use the gifts you have to make a living. And my mother, who taught me resilience, in that no matter how many times you fall, you can always get back up bigger and better.
What is your life affirmation that you live by daily?
With faith and focus, you can do the impossible.
A woman to me is … one who gives life: to her family, to those around her, and to all the spaces she occupies.
