Situated in a quaint town in Mpumalanga and within a golf estate, this property was built for the family to enjoy time together during the holidays and over weekends. Driving towards the property, its magnificent architecture takes centre stage, with a silo connecting two parts of the property. The architectural style of the estate is modern farmhouse, and it was therefore decided to incorporate the silo into the design. This was done so that the silo connects the two bedroom wings and is also the main circulation space.
In the interior, the silo provided the ideal space to incorporate a spiral staircase with a spacious foyer area that impresses those entering the home. It also resulted in an interesting double-volume area on the upper ground floor.
